Interweavings

We tend to see forms and what we call "things" as closed in themselves. We conceive the world as formed by consistent substances "in themselves", of separate and delimitable entities. This conception corresponds in our perception to the Gestalt opposition figure/ground.
This clear-cut opposition and differentiation gives way here to the cracking of the edges. They become permeable. The primary thing is not the individual entities, but the lines of flow, the force fields. The figure emerges only in a derivative form from the tensions between ascent and descent, between emanation and confluence. It gives rise to a weave that interweaves as it dissolves.
 

Solemos ver las formas y lo que llamamos “cosas” como cerradas en sí mismas. Nuestros conceptos que aplicamos al mundo como formado por “sustancias” consistentes y “en sí”, por entidades separadas y delimitables, corresponde en nuestra percepción a la oposición gestáltica figura/fondo.

Esta oposición y diferenciación neta deja aquí el lugar al resquebrajamiento de los bordes. Estos se hacen permeables. Lo primario no son las entidades individuales, sino las líneas de flujo, los campos de fuerza. La figura surge solo de forma derivada a partir de las tensiones  entre ascenso y descenso, entre emanación y confluencia. Se da lugar a una trama que se entreteje al tiempo que se disuelve.
